The Little House
It is said, “home is where the heart is.” The Little House was an attempt to take this platitude a step further to propose the home we seek is found within ourselves.
Interacting with this structure will constantly affirm that concept, as the participants’ reflection will inescapably be mirrored against each architectural element.
You are exactly where you need to be. Forced to enter through a crawl space, the determined viewer was rewarded with binaural sound therapy in an infinity womb-chamber that, of course, was also mirrored. The Little House was exhibited in five public locations across the country.

“We are more than our outer being, or in this case, the mirrored reflections, whether it
is an exterior of a house or an outer body. The home is not out there, but within.
I so appreciated the reminder.” - The Huffington Post
With a footprint of just under four hundred square feet, a steel framed cabin emerges, cladded with mirrored panels that replicate all the conventional elements expected of this universal form. The reflective surfaces throughout draws each participant closer, deconstructing the sense of separateness with the surrounding environment.
Curious revelers will discover an inconspicuous tunnel running underneath the structure, where the cavity of the cabin is revealed. The Vessel of Ascension. The enclosed circular room is equipped with eight participatory stations that emit binaural sound waves for a curated meditation experience. Other site specific features included mixed media sculptures and a rotating kaleidoscopic infinity mirror wall treatment, for those ready to transcend.
